Mark has lived in the islands since 1989 when he moved with his family to Greens Island. Homesteading on this remote island has given him a respectful appreciation for the natural beauty and rhythm of the sea.

 

He holds an U.S. Coast Guard Masters license for steam, motor or auxiliary sail vessels of not more than 50 tons upon inland waters. And has an operator's license of uninspected passenger vessels (OUPV) upon near coastal waters not more than 100 miles offshore. Though not a native (Mark is from Kansas) he enjoys sharing his love for his chosen home and the waters that surround it.
